Kindergarten Long Term Substitute Teacher
Saint Agnes School is now accepting applications for an elementary long-term substitute teaching position starting mid-March through the end of the school year. The position’s duties include serving as homeroom teacher and instructing core subject areas such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, and History/Geography.
Saint Agnes is seeking a highly motivated individual who is a practicing Catholic who can offer a daily and positive witness of his/her faith. Desired candidates also have a passion for educating and forming Christian youth, as well as possess an interest in collaborating with other instructors. Important characteristics include a focus on student learning, classroom management skills, ability to collaborate on a team, ability to integrate technology into instruction, and competence in the variety of subject areas taught. Saint Agnes seeks teachers who possess a love of learning, devotion to the school’s mission and philosophy, and a desire to support the intellectual and spiritual development of each student.
Practicing Catholic – preferred, but not required;
Bachelor of Arts Degree – required;
Teaching License – preferred, but not required;
Experience – preferred, but not required;
Experience with Singapore Math and Responsive Classroom – preferred, but not required.
Other Desired Qualifications
Polished and effective oral and written communication skills;
Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans;
Ability to manage well a classroom environment;
Ability to relate well with students.
