Service Club Meets “The Sandwich Man”

Making sandwiches and making a difference! Our Service Club was so honored to collaborate with Mr. Allan Law, “The Sandwich Man,” in his mission of serving the homeless and hungry in Minneapolis. Aggies gathered in Schuler Hall during Thanksgiving Week to make meat and cheese sandwiches.

Mr. Allan Law, a Minneapolis public school teacher for 32 years, founded Minneapolis Recreation Development (MRD) in 1967. He drives the inner city streets of St. Paul and Minneapolis every night from 9:00 PM to 10:00 AM to feed and provide emergency assistance to as many people as he can help. Volunteers are invited to partner with Mr. Law by making sandwiches for him to deliver to our local homeless.

Our Aggies put together 300 sandwiches for MRD and had the opportunity to converse with Mr. Law when he came to pick up the food. We are so honored that our Aggie family is part of the nearly 520,000 sandwiches that Mr. Law will hand out on the streets this year!
